Add Memory to SAP ECC 6.0 - aditional parameters

Hi Gurus, nowdays we add 8 GB RAM to our SAP server ECC 6.0, it had 8GB and now it has 16 GB now. I will add new WP, adjust Windows swapping file, adjust PHYS_MEMSIZE parameter, so what any other adjust do you think I need for my users feel best performance and better response time?? ..... HDD and processor are ok.

Hi,

Since you had increase physical memory, from st02 and st06 observe the performance of the box and act accordingly, dont increase the memory for areas where there is no necessary, go with where you had problems and later you can work out on other areas based on demand.

Tuning is ever going process, it was not one time activity.

Hii Jose,

apart from these parameters,also go for buffer tuning

just increase the size of important buffers,it will help imporve the performance

These are the five main buffers:

Repository buffers (nametab buffers)

Table buffers

Program buffers

Roll and page file buffers

SAPgui buffers
