Hi,
I have installed netweaver 2004s. After that I wanted to configure my SAP GUI 7.1 but unfortunately the foll. situation appears: http://kepfeltolto.hu/i/?380770&t=img.
What do I do wrong? Any ideas?
Connection parameters are as follows:
-app. server: localhost
-System Nr: 00
-System ID: NSP.
Line "sapmsNSP 3600/tcp" has been added into "C:\WINDOWS.0\system32\drivers\etc\services"...
Thank you!
from your screen, your system name is CE1... not NSP

What exactly did you install? If you install Netweaver CE 7.1 then you're lost with SAPGUI, CE is access through webbrowser.

Yes, I installed this one: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/downloads?rid=/library/uuid/00846edd-355b-2b10-f38c-df94ec96eb74. (But -as I said- nothing happens with "http://localhost:50000/"...)
This installs MaxDB server as well, right? After that I have installed SAP GUI 7.1 and with that I wanted to access this MaxDB server...
Actually I would like to have a working SAP GUI 7.1 with the complete BI addon package (Front End+back end...) Could you tell me the steps to realize that?
Thank you.
As you can see on this picture: http://kepfeltolto.hu/i/?380770&t=img , the 1st instance is always colored yellow. I have read in the manual, that "Yellow indicates that the instance is in the process of starting up.".
But by me it remains always yellow. What should I do?
Thx.
http://localhost:50000/ is wrong.
Did you install a loopback adapter or does your system have a network card and an IP addresse?
For the SAPGUI-Problem:
You installed the wrong software. As you can see on the page for CE 7.1 it's Java only.
If you want to have an ABAP system then you need to download the Netweaver 2004s ABAP trial.
Note: BI will not be included (the OLAP processor yes, but no content).

Hi,
Open command prompt and type command "hostname". It will return your server name
in "app. server:" field in SAP GUI configuration provide the server name instead of localhost.
Or if you have a static IP given to your server, put this IP in "app server" field.
Regards,
Sachin Rane.

Hi,
thanks for the answers. I have changed "localhost" to my hostname and NSP to CE1, unfortunately the same screen appeared.:(
One more information: if I want to open "http://localhost:50000/" in my browser, I get the error "Failed to Connect"... After the installation of Netweaver 2004s "http://localhost:50000/" has worked fine, I got the administration screen... Once I rebooted I get always "Failed to Connect" in my browser... (Regardless of sapmmc is started or not...)
Please advise!
