How to UNPACK CAR FILE in Widnows OS

Hi,

How to unpack CAR File in Widnows operating system...

I tried:

SAPCAR -xvf KIBIIIH.CAR -V

Result:

System create automatically new directory /usr/sap/trans/eps/in/EPS/in and unpack 2 files there

CSN0120061532_0023088.PAT

CSN0120061532_0023088.PTT

How come thats not unpack like SCR file.

Simply i want to upload support packages in BI

hey it has uncarred properly

now you can go to SPAM and do upload from application server,it will automatically take these files from this directory

Hi,

Yes, the files were properly unpacked but thare is a little detail : the files should be unpacked on the transport host which is not always the host where you want apply support packages.

You are right the files sucessfully unpacked but directory was wrong, I just moved these files to back EPS/in folder now thats messages comesup sucessfully installed

Sorry for that problem still there, I unpacked already in directory usr/sap/trans/esp/in

and thats unpacked 2 files which is i maintion before

now my BI team said Business cont still doesn't shows

when i try Tcode: SAINT and SPAM

anyway! here is screenshot...I want to know why is not Green sign.... is that properly installed please advised

Hi,

You have to use T-Code SAINT to import the BI-Content not the T-Code SPAM.

Hi TA,

You login with sidadm and then goto the directory path (/usr/sap/trans)

:/usr/sap/trans>sapcar -xvf <supportpack>.car (this will extract the files .att and .pat into EPS/IN folder which is present in /USR/SAP/TRANS directory) You shouldnt directly extract support packs in usr/sap/trans/eps/in folder
