Hi,

The Pooled capacity is the same capacity can be used for the multiple workcenter.

Example, one operator looking over the 5 Machine, then you can create one pooled capacity & assigned to 5 workcenter.

The reference capacity you can create the capacity as reference & when you want to create the new capacity then you can refer that capacity for new creation

Thanks for the info provided.

Hello Raj,

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Pooled capacity example : Capacity named Wipro has 10 people working for 8 hrs per day. So in a week the WIPRO capacity is 400 hrs.

I assign this capacity to 4 work centres.

As a result, I see the capacity of each work centre is 400 hrs. System doesnt give any error saying the capacity has been assigned to different workcentre and hence no capacity is left out.

If system doesnt work this way, then how pooled capacity can help me?

The same thing can be done with reference capacity. I just need to copy the reference capacity to these four different work centres. The result would be the same as with pooled capacity.

So, whats the difference between the two??

Please suggest.

Cheers
