Dear All,

We have settled the material by wbs element in AUC and we have entry

AUC-Dr.

TO Vendor -Cr.

Our purpose to send a debit note to vendor and I want, also tried the entry in FI

Vendor-Dr,

TO AUC-Cr.

But system giving the message ,asset is in investment measure , not allowed to process.

So we are not able to process in FI.

Is any step in PS, where we can reverse some partial settlement by some amount and we have desired entry--

Dr. -Vendor

Cr.-AUC

Thanks & Regards,

Dharmveer

Hi Dharam,

System won't let you post to AUC directly thru FI enteries.

Better approach in this case would be to first Settle the AUC to a Fixed Asset and then directly debit/credit the Fixed Asset using F-90.

I am pasting a text from SAP for your reference. Hope this helps you.

with regards,

Ravi

A credit memo, which reduces the acquisition and production costs of an asset, essentially represents the opposite of an invoice for a purchased asset. Therefore, it is possible to post the credit memo, as you do when you post an external acquisition, either integrated with a vendor, or to a clearing account

When credit memos are received for a fiscal year that is already closed, the system cannot correct the depreciation posted in the closed fiscal year. Therefore, you have to correct the depreciation for the closed fiscal year manually using a write-up before you can post the credit memo.

Posting Credit Memos Integrated with Vendor

Procedure

1. Determine if the asset was acquired in the current fiscal year or in a closed fiscal year (Display asset values).

2. If the asset was acquired in a fiscal year that is now closed, correct the past depreciation using a write-up (refer to Posting Write-Ups).

3. Determine the vendor and the asset to which the credit memo belongs.

4. Choose the transaction Postings ® External acquisition ® With vendor.

5. Post the credit memo (debit vendor, credit asset):

For credit memos on acquisitions in the current year, post the credit to the asset using posting key 75 and transaction type 105.

For credit memos on acquisitions from prior fiscal years, use posting key 75 and transaction type 160.

Post the debit to the vendor in both cases with posting key 21. You do not need to enter a transaction type when posting to the vendor.

hi

partial settlement is not possible only for the period how much you have settled can be reversed.
