copying control

When i am copying from one sales order type to another than materials are not copying and a message appears saying "an error occured, see log".

Please Help ASAP

Hi Muhammad,

Check for these things in VTAA transaction.

1) if the copy control is maintained at only heasder level.

2) If the Copy control is maintained at item level or not.

3) if the copy control is maintained at schedule line level or not.

If all the above three are maintained then once you copy the SO from SO it will copy entire data including the material number and the dates as well.

Please check.

This could be because you might have set copy controls only at header level , select the item level copy controls and set them accordingly.

Type Ctrl+F8 to see the error log.

Dear Mohammad,

This may due to copy control settings at item level between your order types so go to VTAA transaction then click on item then select the item category then go in to in to the details and check the settings here.

Hi,

first check the log please. the problem might be in copy controls. go to copy control item category and copy item field and give suitable value and check. t.code VTAA.
