Costing and Budgeting

Dear Gurus,

I have a question in my scenario---

I am doing manual coat planning (CJ40) and budgeting (CJ30) at WBS Element level.

In a year, my client may change costs and budget several times (say 5 to 6 times) for entire project.

Just like project version (mainly structure version), how can I see cost versions and budget versions???

I need to track and compare original cost and budget figures vis-a-vis updated one.

Pl elaborate the steps required (IMG as well as Easy Access) to achieve this.

You can have many versions for plan only, not budget

First you need to define the plan versions in SPRO, Project Systems >> Costs >> Create CO Versions

- create new version

- tick plan indicator

- set the version in the controlling area

As for reporting, you can compare plan version vs actual cost in any PS Plan-based report by defining the plan version in report's selection screen

Dear AP,

Thanks for input.....but can u pl tell me from where to see these reports.

Pl tell me navigation paths ot T-codes.

I checked in CJ36 (Suppliment) but I could not get any report as such.

Then I checked all the budget-related reports in,

Project system - Information system - Financials - Costs - Budget related reports

Then I choose default PS Info Profile.....but I am not getting the version data field (for ticking) in BD Profile.

So I am not able to refer to any cost or budget versions.

Hope I have clarified the problem in details.

Awaiting for responses.....Please help.
