Dear,
Imagine the following scenario: a company needs to push data to the pc of it's clients. On the pc of each client a dbase server is installed and the pc of each client will always be online/reachable.
Seeing the large number of clients and the need of easy/flexsible configuration it would not be handy to configure a communication channel per client pc.
Can a jdbc receiver channel be created that allows to configure the hostname of the sql server in a dynamic way (~dynamicconfigurationbean). The xml message will contain all needed data (hostname-userid-password...).
Kind regards
Joris
Joris,
My suggestion would be let the message have one field say client and have one temp database with a temp table...
now XI will write only to that temp DB->temp table...and then a script can run on that system...which will read the value in field client and transfer it to the corresponding client

Dear Joris,
You cannot escape creating as many no. of channels as the number of hosts. As of now there is no method to do what you have suggested using dynamic configuration may be in future sap may come up with something like that. As of now I feel even if you have to create that many channels for communication it should not take much of an effort.

joel

Hi All,
The conclusion is that dyamic configuration of the receiver jdbc adapter is not yet possible.
Jeol, when we are talking about hundreds of clients, this might be a problem. It is quiet easy to create such a channel, but I wanted to avoid the fact that a creation for each client was needed.
Kind regards
Joris
JDBC adapter doesnt have Adapter Specific Message attributes. Hence you cannot use the concept of Dynamic Configuration either by Bean or in UDF using API.
Possibility is you can route based on the source XML hostname tag, but problem is you need to have as many channels as the hostnames.............
