Hello All,
I want to connect directly to SAP ECC (SAP Logon) through a link from MII.I am not sure about the possibility of this.Since SAP Logon is a desktop application .
So when I click on a link in MII dashboard it should open ERP .From there I can open any module using the transaction code.
can anyone let me know the possibility of this?
Thanks&Regards,
Guru.
Guru,
You should be able to put a link in to Navigation which connects to the SAPGUI program. You just need to copy the path from the shortcut on your desktop and paste that into a Navigation path.
Good luck,
Mike

I don't think it is quite that easy. The path to "my" desktop might be "c:\documents and settings\ryan.miller\desktop". Bob Barker's might be "c:\documents and settings\bob.barker\desktop". Also, if you point to the shortcut file "sapgui.lnk" I don't think the web browser will actually open it as the executable, but rather ask how you want to open a shortcut. Also, if all of this does work, all applications will have to be installed to the exact same location. If my sapgui.exe is on my c drive and your sapqui.exe is on your d drive, you'll need to look in two places or provide two shortcuts. Lot's of people ask for this, even outside of the MII world. There isn't really a foolproof way to do it that I know. If you want a web app, do a web app. If you want a desktop app, do a desktop app.
Perhaps if you had a way to read the windows registry to find some of the dynamics of the path to the executable for each specific client (ActiveX?) it could be done.
Also, isn't there a web-based sap gui app? Now that would be one possibility. You could link from an MII page to the web-based sap gui page quite easily.
That would be correct. Check out

Hi Jamie,
Thanks for your response.with the link you send I am able to open SAP GUI by activating the required services in ECC.But I want to log directly into SAPGUI with out login page.So I have passed user details in the URL as params .Then I directly logged into SAP with out login. But I felt this is not a right method passing user details through URL.
Is there a way like the user logged in MII with his C number and when he clicks on the SAP link it should allow the user to log directly with out login details.
Thanks&Regards,
Guru.
You setup single sign on with the SAP SSO2 ticket from MII to the ECC system you are using. If you are using MII 11.5, you need to import a certificate into the MII user management application to enable SSO.
If you are using 12.0 or later, you just need to set up SSO (trust) between the two UME instances.
