Hi Mobile gurus,

Do you know the answers to the following questions:

- Does SAP MAM works directly with SAP Dynpro?

- Does it have an auto connect to network feature?

- Does it works on existing/custom SAP transactions?

- Is it real time synchronization?

- Is there any duplication of SAP Logic?

Hi Jolene,

SAP MAM is an offline mobile application which can run on Windows mobile devices and PC / Laptops. SAP MAM is an extension on the SAP PM functionality to empower the field workers with critical business processes and data and eliminating paper work.

Offline solution - This means that MAM resides on your device as a full fledged solution communicating with the SAP backend PM when you force a synchronization.

SAP MAM works with SAP NetWeaver (7.0 and prior versions).

Answers to your questions:

- Does SAP MAM works directly with SAP Dynpro?

SAP MAM works with SAP NetWeaver and SAP PM. SAP NetWeaver is the middleware between SAP PM and SAP MAM.

- Does it have an auto connect to network feature?

Offline solution which can connect to SAP NetWeaver when connectivity exists and you force a sync.

- Does it works on existing/custom SAP transactions?

You cannot execute any SAP transactions in PM directly from MAM. But you can enhance / extend the SAP MAM functionality following the SAP guidelines.

- Is it real time synchronization?

Sync based on request.

- Is there any duplication of SAP Logic?
