Hello all,
We are right now on a Solaris box and a separate DB server on Solaris box. Now, we are planning to move our SAP CI and App servers to Linux box leaving the DB on the solaris box intact (not touching the DB server). How complicated is this process and what steps needs to be done? Your input here is highly appreicated. Please drive me in the right direction.
Thank you.

Hello,
We are planning to migrate SAP EP Landscape from Solaris to Redhat Linux OS (with VmWare Virtualization)
This is being planned only for the Application & the Webserver layers. The DB Layer will remain on the Solaris OS even after the Migration. It will remain untouched.
Now I would like to know how complicated this procedure is & please provide some valuable inputs for this . Thanks
Regards,

We are considering building just some dialog instances on Linux, but keeping both the CI and DB on Solaris (for now). Is anybody doing this in production?
