Recovery of data from Backup

Hi! experts

I do have a backup of the all directory of SAP Mobile Infraestructure.

I did have problem on my Laptop. I did format the laptop.

I did have dbe2e 9.1.2 installed on the laptop.

I did type a lot of information on the field. And i need it.

Should I recovery the data I have on my backup ??

Can anyone tell me step bye step how can I recovery my user information ??

Dear Xiomara,

Well if you have the full folder of MI installation then you can do a simple trick containing few steps. This is an undocumented procedure, but I have used it in the past successfully. The Generic instruction for your situation would be:

Prerequisites/Assumptions:

1. MI Client is not running.

2. The Device has not been removed/deleted from MI server.

Steps:

1. Install the same version of client as you had earlier.

2. Now go to the installation folder - for example: "C:\Program Files\" Rename the SAP MI folder here and now past the folder of the client you have backed up.

3. You can now start using the MI client normally. You will have all the data that you entered earlier. You can even sync this data to the same server as before without any hassles.
