Can we copy a regular Oracle DB to a RAC DB?

Hi! Gurus:

We have a need to refresh a RAC SAP(ORACLE) EP7.0 using a non-RAC SAP(Oarcle) DB.

Both have the same SID.

Is it possible? And if so, how difficult it is?

Yes, restore/duplicate your single instance database and then follow metalink note #747457.1.

It depends on your knowledge and understanding of the backup/restore procedure. The other thing is easy because you just have to follow the metalink note.

Keep in mind that you need a CFS to be supported in a SAP environment (sapnote #527843)
