Guys,
Any reason (tech. or business wise) that Sales office does not exist in Billing Document Header ? It is there in Sales Order Header & it is there in Billing Document line items?
From where does (in Billing line items) comes.....? From Sales Order header (which is referred by Billing Document)?
Thanking you all in advance.
Hi SR
At billing level header data sales office got suppressed because In Transaction Variant SHD0 the sales office has got suppressed and that is the reason the sales office does not exist in billing document header. But in billing document item data you can see the the sales office tab in display mode

Thanks Sri, let us move deeper than screen level suppression...
"It does not exist at Billing Header" meant it does not exist in Billing Header Table (VBRK), though there are Sales Area, Sales District, but how come Sales Office does not go there. Why is it not there the way it is in Sales Order Header (VBAK)?
Hi SR
In sales order header data Sales office will be there . Because system will take the Customer's sales Office when you create the sales order. But when you create the billing document , as billing split happens that is the reason it wont appear in the billing header data , But it will appear in the Billing item data. as because of billing split 2 billing documents may be created so that is the reason it will come at item level only

Agreed, the "Billing Split" might be the reason, then the next logical question is why the"Sales Office" only (populated in line items), why not other fields like Sales Area (SO, Dis Ch, Div ) etc etc.
Another question. that Billing Split would generate multiple billing documents, and each billing document would have header as well, then why the Sales Office is not populated on these billing(s) header?
