Unable to Unpack Handling Unit located in Storage Bin of Warehouse

Hi All,

Thanks in Advance for replie(s).

I am facing a problem in Unpacking of Handling Unit. We have activated HUM and WM.

We have Handling Unit created from PP order confirmation. Subsequently Transfer Order is confirmed to put stock(Handling Unit) to storage bin of warehouse.

Now I want to unpack this Handling Unit.

But while unpacking using - HU02/HUMO tcodes......I get the errors :

"Storage type 001 does not allow repacking - HUs cannot be changed" ....................... " Message no. HUSELECT011"

"Handling unit 1000001500 has status "cannot be changed" - Process cancelled" ........"Message no. HUGENERAL053"

Please help.

Hi,

You need to transfer the material to the interim storage type for repacking. In standard SAP that is (I believe) 923 repacking. Once there, you will be able to repack. It is a kind of posting change notice. After repack you will transfer material back to the bin.

Check customizing settings upfront under logistics general / handling unit management.
