Hi,

Check your ORACLE_HOME is correctly set. Please post more information from trace file if problem still exists.

Hope this helps.

Thx for your answers!

The ORACLE_HOME is not set i think. I tried to do, but i dont really know which path is should set.

C:\Oracle\D84\

another possiblity

C:\usr\sap\D84\

both do not work. D84 is the name of my DB instance.

What to do?

Best regards!

Usually it's <drive>:\oracle\<SID>\<version>

e.g. C:\Oracle\D84\102

You didn't answer Markus's question:

Did you install Oracle using "sapserver.cmd" or did you use the runInstaller?

none of them i did.

thats the way i do.

sapinst.exe --> SAP NetWeaver 04 SR1 --> SAP System Installation --> Java System --> Oracle --> Central System --> Defaul Installation - Java System

installing the db is one of the next steps i think

Hm,

SAP installation guides differ for various releases, and I am much too lazy now to check the one you are using.

But last time I did an installation, one of the first steps was installing Oracle, and later on SAP, using sapinst.

So I guess installing the db might have been one of the previous steps. But it shouldn't be too late to do it now.

What does your installation guide say?

Please: read the installation guide. On Windows the sequence is:

- install Oracle using sapserver.cmd (not setup.exe)

- install patch 10.2.0.2 or 10.2.0.4

- intstall the latest interim patch for the release

- start sapinst

Did you install Oracle using "sapserver.cmd" or did you use the runInstaller? If the latter, then this was wrong and hence necessary environment variables are not set.

Is this error coming from the Oracle Installer? or the SAP Installer?
