how to extract .rar file from the sap web site ?

We have os as unix.Then how do we run the extract the files in unix.The problem is that we have one exe and other 4 as rar files.Any commands in unix for extracting the files .

Hi Ambarish,

You can extracrt the rar file in unix using few utilities. But in your case you can extract all the files. This you have to do it in the any one of the Windows envroinment. Because the .exe file can't executed in UNIX. If you run the .exe file in windows automatically all the rar files are extracted and it will be stored in the single directory.

As per Juan you can download them to your desktop and then execute the .exe file which will automatically unrar the rar files into folders and then you can ftp them to the UNIX servers.

Win rar files as per my knowledge you canu2019t extracted directly to unix servers.

Win rar you can down lode from windows site or any other site and install in your windows pc and then extracted (UNZIP) you will get folder with same name.

If you have exe in that you can directly run. or copy past wherever you want. if itu2019s an installation you can install the same

Note: if you are downloading from sap pls check you may have unix version also are that should support all os

seems like this is a self-extracting rar... basically the .exe means that its a windows executable. Just copy them to your desktop decompress by using the exe and then move them via ftp to your Unix Server.

You can also use winrar
