Hi Gurus,

When I try to create BOM thru CS01 should I change the item category as N?....the default item cat is L but with that I am not able to create the record.....any suggestions on this?..........

Hi

In BOM the item category field is for sub item.If ur sub item category is stock item than make it L ,if it is non stock item than u put N.But the same item category u should maintain in the MMR Sales org 2 view.For non stock item maintain NLAG in MMR sales org2 and than use N in BOM than it will work.If u maintain NORM in MMR than maintain L in BOM it cat.

Use BOM usage "5", enter your Plant, let the item category be "L" while creating the BOM, enter the sub-items and quantities and try.

I am getting an error msg if I maintain item cat as L instead its accepting item cat N....why its so?......

Hi gopal,

Check the Material type...for which you are assigning the as stock item(L).instead of Non-Stock item(N).

make sure that relevant parameters for Non-stock & Stock items.

And take Material Usage as "3".
