Incorrect Rush Order Delivery Creation

Hi,

I have searched the forums and SAP notes for this one but no luck.

We have a problem where rush order deliveries are creating despite the fact that the stock is not in an available location.

EG our finished goods st location is 0002 - zero stock here.

Our customer rtns st location is 0004 - there is stock here.

Rush orders, which create their deliveries automatically, will create a delivery despite stock not being in the FGS location. Also the delivery have st loc 0002 saved into it.

Normal orders work correctly ie it is impossible to create a delivery unless the stock is actually in 0002.

Creating a rush order manually (ie VL01n) also works correctly.

What is it about the auto delivery create functionality that is ignoring the fact that the stock isn't available??

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks

Guy

Guy,

Did you activate the Field "No storage location check" under "CArry out Check For availability check" for your checking rule. Why don't you check Delivery item category and schedule line category assigned for rush orders.

Though you can correct the flow at VL02N when you go for Picking and PGI.

Hi Guy Heather,

In this case system will automatically creates delivery document with out PGI.

When you do PGI surely system will not allow you to go forward because stock available at storage loc is Zero. System will check the availability of stock at the time of PGI not at the time of delivery creation.

Thanks,

Hi, Thanks for responding.

PGI wouldn't be possible, but you wouldn't get that far anyway as you wouldn't be able to find any stock.

Time would be wasted trying to pick goods that are not there.

I would expect rush order immediate delivery create NOT to create the delivery in the first place. Similar to a normal order.

Hi,

this may be becoz of Shipping Condition assignment in the Sales Doc type (VOV8)... Normally for Rush Order Shipping Condition will be set as 01 - as soon as possible...

So it may determine some other shipping point and this shipping point may assigned with diff Sloc.... So check this once...

but not sure...

Hi,

For Rush order processing there is no avialability check is avialable as for standard functionality.

We will go for rush order only in case of enough stock avialible at storage loc.

If you really wants the system to restrict delivery document to be created in case of no stock, you need to look for USER EXIT.

Thanks,

Dear Guyheather

Rush order undergoes availability check

Rush order the delivery is triggered automatically up on configuring the delivery switch in VOV8

The key to be taken is X create delivery if the qty is confirmed today(this itself implies the order undergoes availabilty check)

A create delivery immediately to be used for only cash sales not for rush orders

In your case the switch might be A(this is my guess)

Change that to X

If the availability check controls are properly configured in OVZ9 this will not happen

Check your OVZ9 settings

If still problem persises then for your schedule line category set the for the incompletion procedure either for 30 or 31 add the VBEP---BMENG with status 01 with the incomplete messages ticked in the transaction flow tab of your order type in VOV8

This will make sure your rush order is not saved if the confirmed quantity is 0

Hi,

rush order is created only for those material which are available, eventhough system should check the availability of the material. for this once check tor and availability check settings.

after rush order created, delivery is automatically saved, but u can go and pick and PGI execute, here u cant u select right storage location. plz check
