hi to everyone,
i am new in basis
i had install ECC 6.0 with orcale 10 g and windows 2003.i had made 2 partition in the hard disk.
C:30 gb and D:300 gb.
C drive for os and D drive for data.
now every thing is ok and i had complete the installation.and into 😧 drive almost 200 gb space is free.
but when i am checking in to DB02
it is showing 19% space free only why?
whenever i am clicking on current size then it is showing blank screen .....
not showing any information..why?
not showing which tablespace having what size why?
How can i check the size of PSAPSR3
PSAPSR3700
System and other table space...
i login in to 000 cliect not created and other client ....because i am surprised to see the 19% free space only.
please provide me the solution.

a tablespace is made up of multiple datafiles. those datafiles occupies disk space.
your database sees free space from within the datafiles. it does not really check free space at Os level.
so, your datafiles has 19% of free space but your disk might have more free disk space.
to extended or add datafiles, use these:
brspace -c -u / -f tsextend (to add a datafile)
brspace -c -u / -f dfalter (to increase size of datafile)
good luck.

ok now....
on the 😧 drive i am having 200 gb space but how can i measure that how much PSAPSR3 having...
if i want to increase tablespace then how can i
have to increase datafile or simply can i increase tablespace....
to extended or add datafiles, use these:
brspace -c -u / -f tsextend (to add a datafile)
brspace -c -u / -f dfalter (to increase size of datafile)
suggest....
I think you have enough answers about how to get tablespace info and how to add datafiles to them (Brtools, Oracle command, etc) just wan to answer you about the new client you want.
SAP recomends to do the client copy using client 001 as reference and not 000 because this last one has some configuration that should not be copied to different clients. And yes you can use SAP ALL profile to do the copy altough SAP recomends to use Customizing for the copy.
Good Luck
Thanks for the reply...
now after refreshingin DB02 and sheduling dbcheck job...
i am getting the tablespace information and here i am sharing what are the size of that .....
size (kb) free(kb)
PSAPSR3 40960000(kb) 11923072
PSAPSR3700 38113280 9152
PSAPSR3USR 20480 18560
so now suggest me should i increase PSAPSR3 or any datafile.....
if i am going to increase tablespace PSAPSR3 then how at BRTOOL...
what will be the steps...?
is it be possible when server is up or for that i have to down the server and stop the orcale services....
plese suggest

one more thing ,
i had create a new client and and trying to copy ALL profile from 000 and 001.
every thing was ok but i found that client copy has been cancelled due to less PXA.
got abapdupm that PXA is not enough...
so how can i increase ....it according to DUMP it is 145032kb
i am using Win 2003 ....then what is that ipclimits utility program....
please suggest
PXA is program execution area that is belong to abap/buffersize
you can increase it through RZ10 and restart the server and shedule client copy.....
check logs in to SCC3 .
abap/buffersize should be 250 mb or 300 mb for windows. for 32 bit....
set it as per requirement...and try... you will get the ...
hope this will work.

Dik,
You can check tablespaces from DB02, BRTOOLS, via oracle directly etc.
To check at oracle level:
1. sqlplus "/as sysdba"
2. select * from dba_tablespaces;
OR
BRTOOLS->Space Management->Additional space functions->show tablespaces
Also there is possibility that archive logs and backups have taken some space on your system.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
USE brtools / brspace to show the Actual tablespace statistics.

Hello,
a few things to consider:
1) DB02 will only show data that has been collected before. One way of collecting data will be by clicking the refresh button in DB02. In the long run you should run a daily dbcheck job, for examply by means of transaction DB13.
2) The percentage of free space shown in DB02 always is the free space within a tablespace, or within its data files, but not within a disk. It doesn't matter how big your disk is. What does matter is the amount of disk space that has been assigned to a tablespace.
hope this helps
