Hi Raghu,

I have worked on one IS-U implementation project and can just share with you the basics.

I was involved with the Customer Services stream.

In layman terms...

MOve-in is when a Customer wants to move into a new house or a location.

Move-out is related with a customer vacating the service location,

Both of these are tied to a particular contract, which has a Move-in-date and a move-out-date.

E.g.--- If I wish to move into a new house in a new city, there will be a Contract between me and the retailer. That particular contract will have my move-in-date as the date when I moved in and the move-out date will be 31-12-9999.

In case I wish to move out, the Move-out-date in the contract is modified to the date of customer moving out.

All this is done through a transaction EC70.

Meter Reading is nothing but gathering the Reading that the meter shows.

Premise is similar to a House or a location.

POD is Point of delivery. It is used in IS-U for mapping Techincal master data with the Business Master data. Each location has a unique POD.

COntract has already been explained above.

I hope I have been able to throw some light on the topic.

Regards,

Abhay
