Administrator password change in Secure Store...

Former Member

Hi Experts,

We are having EP 7.0 with SPS 17 installed.

And for Security reasons we changed Administrator password for the portal and had tried to make the same change in Secure Store also. But password change is not getting effected.

Acutally, as per Note: 1228507, we upgraded the SP Stack level from 16 to 17 also.

Restarted teh SDM, JAVA instance, but still we are not getting needed output.

Experts... please your hand in this.

Thanks,

Vamsi Krishna.

Hai,

After upgrading to SP Stack 17 did you try to set the password as said in the SAP Note:1228507?

Hi Yoganand,

Do have any idea?

Thanks,

Hai,

Did you change the password in config tool?

What did you do in SDM? Is your SDM password working?

Hi Vamsi,

As the administrator's user password is stored both in the active user store (this will be the UME in your portal) and in the secure storage in the file system, you will have to synchronized them so that all the applications can use the same password to connect to the engine (specially VA and SDM). I would review the procedure indicated by SAP note 701654 to reset the password from the secure store.

Hi Desiree,

Yes please... And I already tried Note: 701654 suggestion, but no result.

Password is not changing, somewhere something is missing, which I'm lagging.

You may catch it.

Please try yourself too.

Thanks,

Vamsi Krishna.

Hi Vamsi,

If you feel there is a real issue in your system, I would suggest to open a message to SAP Active Global Support on component BC-JAS-SEC.

Hi Vamsi

In my knowledge for changing the administration user password, it must be changed both in the database(.i.e) data source or VA or in SU01 in ABAP data source and in the secure storage.

Hi Ravi,

This is EP machine, and not having ABAP stack.

And after upgradation to SPS17, tried to change the password in SDM, but not worked.

Do you have any idea / suggestion?

Thanks,

Vamsi Krishna.
