How to post costs after project is set to tech complete??

I changed the status of level 1WBS and Project Def to tech complete and then posted costs to the level 1 WBS using t.code FB60. I got a message " cannot post costs to wbs element".

Can you tell me if there is any setting or a different methods to be followed to post the costs??

Hi Arvind,

TECO does not stop you from posting cost. You can post cost even after TECO. Check if some user status is also getting set automatically by setting system status TECO. That user status might be stopping you from posting cost.

Anyway you can alway undo systeem status TECO, and if your settings allow you can change the current user status also that might be stopping you from posting cost.

**check the details of the error and check what status exactly is stopping you.

Yes Arvind, it is absolutely possible to post cost to NWA using FB60.

Enter Network Header No in the field 'Network' and activity number in the field 'Transaction No.' in the debit lines.

No, you can not post costs, if the status is "Closed".

If you need to post the costs, then undo the "closed" status to "TECO", then you can post.
