Hi Guys
I have a scenario and find out whether i need to install loop back adopter or not.
Scenario: I have one desktop and couple of laptops. i want to connect all the machines to wireless router ( For desktop, it it wired and for laptops, it would be wifi ) .
And i want to install the sneak preview version on the desktop machine and want to access through the loptops.
So do i have to install Microsoft loop back adopter on the desktop. If Yes or No ,what happens if i disconnect that desktop to the router ( network ) .
Please advice.
Thanks
Hari
Hi Hari,
Better you can install with the loobback adapter. Because if you installed with the entwork adapter IP address, if the switch is off or the network is connected you can't satrt SAP.
Install with loobback adapter. You can connect SAP from Laptop using the network card IP address. So there will not be any issue to access the SAP which is running in Desktop from Laptop.

If your connecting your laptop to your official network this is not required.
If your are installing sap for learning purpose (Stand alone system) for that you can use this, if your are using Microsoft loop back adapter no need to enter ip and host name in to host file. after installation you will get a message local area is connected this is like vertical network connection.
