Transaction logs not being generated.

Hi Team,

We have configured the log shipping sucessfully on SQl 2000 & ECC 5.0. However it ran fine untill yesterdays night and today we found that logshipping is not happening as expected.

Now ,we found that transactions logs are not being genereated. Couldn't find any errors and logshipping maintainance job seems to be in executing state from quite a long time. We tried stop / start the job manually but no sucess.

Can some one please suggest.

This problem has been solved by myself after we have shrinked log file .ldf as it reached huge size

Did you (or maybe someone else) change the recovery model of database to "single"?

Hi Markus,

Recovery model is set to 'Full' only. Even when we take manual backup of transaction logs.it's not intitaing the process it was just hanging.

Any idea wht could be causing this?

Check the size of your data files to see if any have < 1% free. If so, extend.
