Developing workflow in SRM

Hello All,

We are just implementing SRM 7.0 and I am looking for following help:

u2022 In SRM , Business Objects (BUS2201 - PO, BUS2121 - SCart, etc) do not have display/change/edit methods implemented. Any insight into why these methods are not implemented?

u2022 To display/edit PO, what business object/method can be used?

u2022 Should custom tasks/workflows be based on WebDynpro or can I directly call a transaction code/dialog screen etc? Or can both technologies be used with appropriate settings made in SWFVISU/portal?

u2022 Are settings in SWFVISU done for every Task developed by the developer? Is this followed by UWL Administrator refreshing the system every time?

Any insight into how creating SRM workflows is different from ECC workflows would be helpful.

Please note I have already reviewed SAP help and this forum.

Thanks,

Zack

Hi Zack,

Can you please provide the detail as to which state are the methods display/change etc in BUS2201 and BUS2121 are in?

If they are in 'Released' state then it is not a problem.

You can use BUS2012 for PO.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Saumya

Hi Saumya, I meant there is no code behind those methods in SRM. The methods are availabe on the objects and are in released state - but I do not see any code in them.

Thanks,

Zack
