PI 7.1 Message packaging

Hi,

We have just upgraded from XI 3.0 to PI 7.1. Messages are being sent to the wrong business systems even although the receiver determination is correct. We have done a full cache refresh - still the same. OSS have suggested some notes. These notes relate to message packaging. Can someone please send details or a guide - how to set up / how to check? What is message packaging?

w.r.t to ur issue, though I cannot comment on the relation of Msg packing & receiver determination, since it is not clear abt your communication with SAP..

Otherwise :

We had issues with cache & got errors in RD. the temp solution during test phase was to re-activate the scenarios in Int Directory individually (objects such as CC, Agrmts etc).

we found the PIDIRUSER was having some pwd mismatches (after upgrade), when it was set right by the BC team, the cache refresh was fine and the scenarios need not be activated individually.

After upgrade, we got error in MONI, that No rcr found etc..not like your case of going to different receivers

Hi leanne,

we faced the same issue until we applied [OSS note 11636661|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1163661].

If you need to do some test you can disable packaging from SXMB_ADM -> integration engine configuration -> RUNTIME/PACKAGING to Inactive.
