SEARCH HELP for WBS Element / Cost Center / Order does not work

Former Member

Hi Experts,

We are working on the upgrade from SRM 3.0 to SRM 5.0 Version. In the Upgraded portal, when we are trying to create a Shopping Cart in the Development Environment, in the Account Assignment Overview, the SEARCH HELP for WBS Element / Cost Center / Order does not work. When we click on the Binocular, nothing comes up.

Could you suggest any note or any correction procedure to resolve this problem.

Regards,

Subhrangsu

Also make sure that you have security access for the F4 help. If you are using standard SAP delivered roles, it can be found in Authorizations under BBP Component --> SRM General Access Authorizations in EBP --> Call Input help in backend (BE_F4_HELP).

Hi Subhrangsu,

I am also facing the same problem.

I have tried debugging FM B40B_SHLP_CALL as suggested by Dean.

Have set external breakpoint to this FM, however it's not stopping there.

Were you able to resolve this?

Many thanks,

Kezia

You would need to define secondary RFC Destination. Follow these steps to the end.

1.Create a secondary RFC user and an authorization in the backend(ECC)

1a)In Transaction SU01, create a new user (on the 'Logon data' tab,

you should select user type 'Dialog' or 'Service').

1b) Call Transaction PFCG for the role maintenance and create your own

role.

1c) In the role, select the 'Authorizations' tab and and choose the

button to change the authorization.

1d) Do not select ANY template on the dialog box.

1e) Choose 'Manual' ; then enter authorization object S_RFC and confirm

the entry.

1f) Expand the authorization object and choose the pencil symbol for

the 'Name of RFC to be protected'.

1g)Choose the pencil symbol for the 'Type of RFC object to be

protected', select the 'Function group' checkbox and save the

change.

1h)Generate and save the authorizations. Then return to the role.

1i)On the 'User' tab, enter the user you have created and carry out a

user comparison.

2. Define an secodary RFC destination in SRM server with the RFC user you have created

3. Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Define Backend Systems

In the Logical system entry of your backendsytem :Enter the secondary RFC destination into RFC(Dialog) field of the

4.Also make sure that the end user(Person creating shopping cart) has authorization object M_BBP_SHLP

Hi,

To make it simple, we have specific notes available and apply the below OSS notes and this should resolve the issue.

Note 1259735 - Search help of generic account does not work

Note 656633 - Search help requires dialog users

Cheers!!!

I have had this happen also, there is a setting in spro to enable search help checking with your back end erp system.

IMG -> Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Define Back End Systems.

on the entry for your backend system, all the way to the right is a field called RFC (Dialog) enter the RFC destination for your back end system.

Did you try debugging FM B40B_SHLP_CALL?

Hi,

The RFC user should be changed to Dialogue user instead of system user. I too faced the same and after changed the user it works.

Cheers!!!

Hi Muthu,

Thanks for your suggestion, however, in this case I do not get any dump, moreover I assume the RFC connection is fine as all the other Search Helps work just fine. Only in the Account Assignment Overview, the SEARCH HELP for WBS Element / Cost Center / Order does not work.

When I click on the Binocular for Search Help, no records show up and no errors who up either. I checked in the Backend system and there are no Dumps created.

It would be great if you have any other solutions in mind.

Hi

Do you get any dump for this. check up with your basis team to set up Dialog RFC destniantion in SM59 with back end system and maintained the same in define backend system .

Dialog RFC destination may help you

many time srm suffers to read the accouting data due to this.

please check many notes are available regarding this.
