Hi Experts,

What does the following error mean ?

"Work center not permitted for receiver object"

Message no. LR 252

Diagnosis

Work center is not permitted for the receiver object.

System Response

The system checks whether the work center is permitted for the task list type of the receiver object. In this case, the receiver object has the task list type E.

The task list types for which a work center is permitted are defined in the basic data for the work center in the task list usage field.

The Time Sheet supports the following task list types:

'0' - Project System/network

'E' - Plant Maintenance/service

Procedure

Check whether you have specified the correct work center.

Procedure for System Administration

If necessary, you can change the task list usage for the work center.

"Actually we are trying to book time to an employee on a Network Activity."

I tried to look for task list type on the receiver object, but could not succeed.

What does "receiver object" mean?

Is receiver object Employee or Network Activity or Work center ?

Where is the task list type located on the receiver object ?

Goto CNR2 for work center ,view under basic tab u will see field called "usage"...check which task is assigned...U must assign "only networks" or "all task list types" in order to use the Work center for Project System.
