The requirement is to configure a BOM, with Main item and 2 components/Sub Items
Pricing on the Main Item Only, so i guess that would be ERLA Item Category Group, or if something customized is needed.
1st Component would be externally Procured and Drop Ship to Customer , so i guess the Item Category should be TAS, because it needs to create and PR automatically.
2nd Component is actually a Assembly Item, with BOM attached to it, Needs to Explode in Production Order, run MRP , Procure the Material if required for Assembly , do the goods receipt, Start the Production/Assembly and Ship out the Assembly to the Customer.
The Billing for the Above Main Items Needs to be Milestone Billing.
