sap IDES installation error

Dear Friensd,

I am fresher in Basis .I am installing SAPIDES in my Windows 2003 server with oracle 10. But during installation . its give error in Import Abap .I check the log.

Hi Moni,

this is one of the cases where sapinst is actually quite communicative

CJS-30022 Program 'Migration Monitor' exits with error code 103. For details see log file(s) import_monitor.java.log, import_monitor.log.

Usually the information at the end of import_monitor.log will tell us which package has failed here, you can update your post with it.

Hi,

You java seems to be old. Did you check the installation guide for the minimum requirement for the JDK.

Try with JDK 1.4.2_16.

we check with this error log. then only you go for next level of java version.

Read your logs!

For details see log file(s) import_monitor.java.log, import_monitor.log.

this will in turn give you more log files to look into.

if you get shared memory error, try this:

sqlplus "/as sysdba"

show parameter shared_pool_size;

increase value to 400M

alter system set shared_pool_size=400M;

exit;

then, try again

listen you got the error in ABAP_IMPORT phase...

ok

in that phase all export comes in to the picture....

so all export 1-11 extart in that phase along with some additional action.

got it...

SAPAPPL1_1

SAPAPPL2_1

SAPAPPL_2_3....

also extract...ok

but in your log file which you paot ...every import completed..except SAPAPPL2 gives the error...

so that i can say there may be the error or SHARED_POOL_SIZE.....or else location of EXPORTs is not OK...

so take care and paste the log file of SAPAPPL2.....

and now we will talk about java version...that is ok ....i had install before some time on java version "1.4.2_08.

so go through first log file and then let me tell what exactly is there....
