Hi,
During order entry using VA01 once the customer number is entered in Sold-to & when hit tab to go to next field - causes the SAP GUI "dump" that is displayed below .
"Windows GUI 640 Exception 0xC0000005 with ID=0x6C00FD6F/0x6C00FD6F occurred (PL=29)
Please search this note for this keyword 0x6C00FD6F/0x6C00FD6F:
0499555 Exceptions in SAPGUI for Windows
If the keyword isn't listed in this note, please open a call on component BC-FES-GUI with a description how to reproduce this bug. Furthermore save this email and wait until the SAPGUI support gives you an email address to send it to.
Meanwhile, please apply note 520688 to optimize the trace result."
Can some one tell me reason and what needs to be done????
Regards,
Sudarshan

Guys,
Basis installed patch 29 on GUI 640. But still the same problem. They are telling me to check with SD team to report this error to GuiXT and send them the trace file and they are not responsible for interfacing with the GuiXT vendor when there is an error like this
We are on 4.6C and would like to know whether 7.10 will be compatible.
Please suggest on how to handle this.
Regards,
Sudarshan
Sudarshan,
Yes, it is 7.10 is compatible. This is the extract from attached note.
Compatibility - 7.10
SAP GUI for Windows 7.10 is compatible with all releases of SAP products which are supported by SAP (this includes releases in extended maintenance).

I guess it is due to GUI. Your Sap Gui is 6.40 and now its not supported and what is the patch level of your current GUI. either you can check the patch of 6.40 is available or you can update the GUI 7.10 with latest patch 11 then you can try.
