Hi,

I am trying homogenous sytem copy using sapinst.exe and in the import of abap objects 5 out of 62 is not imported and giving the following error. Pls give your valuble solution to sort of this issue.

Hi Markus

Even after applying the latest R3load tools I am getting the same error. Do I need to do the export once again with latest R3load tools from the source database? Pls reply

This is not the same error.

The tablespace is too small, you need to increase its size. Since BR*TOOLS are not yet working during the installation you have to do this on SQL level.

Hi Markus,

Is it possible to randomly change the tablespace size at the time of import. I am doing the homogenous copy using sapinst and how will define it in the import parameter. Can u pls specify how to proceed further?

once the DB is created, you can one of these commands:

brspace -c -u / -f dfalter (to increase datafile size or to make it autoexendable)

brspace -c -u / -f tsextend (to add a datafile)

Hi,

By adding new datafiles I am able to import the database successfully. Thanks for the support.

I have done the source export four days back and now the source and target systems are in two different levels. The database structure are also different in both , the no of data files are different in both the database. I have got offline archive upto the current level in my source database and how to bring to current level in the target database. Pls give your valid support to sort the issue.

Your R3load is ancient - it's from 2006! You should update your copy tools (R3load, libsdbora.dll, R3szchk, R3ldctl) before the copy (read the guide!) and try again.

What database version and patch are you using?

Hello,

is the source system a unicode system? In the logfiles, you can see the following:


INFO: 2009-03-14 02:00:27
Data codepage 1100 is determined using TOC file 'M:\software\EXPORT_FINAL\ABAP\DATA\ACCTIT.TOC' for package 'ACCTIT'.

This would mean that the export was done with a non-unicode codepage while the import is done in unicode:


Loading of 'SAPPOOL' import package into database:
E:\usr\sap\GTP\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\R3load.exe -i SAPPOOL.cmd -dbcodepage 4103 -l SAPPOOL.log -stop_on_error

I guess doing a unicode conversion is not what you want, right? You should check your settings in sapinst (see summary.html), there is a unicode flag that can be set for the export.
