Webservice connection error . Pls advice

Hi All,

My R/3 server hostname is --- cscappnoi022

In the webservice navigator page, when I try to Test my webservivce , it shows below error message

Unknown host. Check your proxy settings: cscappnoi022.asiapac.globalcsc.net

I am thinking that webservice is able to recognize cscappnoi022 but not cscappnoi022.asiapac.globalcsc.net

I have asked my Basis persons. But they are not able to solve it.

If you are using soap receiver, then have you provided the "Configure Proxy" details in the communication channel?

To make an entry in the host file;

go to Run--> Type "drivers"; Enter

It will open up your Drivers folder. Go to "etc" folder; choose the "hosts" file, open in notepad and make an entry like:

<ip> <host name>

eg:65.26.78.192 sapdev.com

But this entry is for sap gui , I am getting error in Webservice Homepage (while Testing ) using Test tab.

Hello,

Make an entry of R3 server in Driver/host file...

and use Ip address of R3 System in place of host name and try.
