Handling unit Number Range

Hi Friends,

I want to know where to maintain the Handling Unit Number Ranges with Year.

My client has finished the number range for Handling Unit for the fiscal year 2008.

So need to extend the number range..

Please guide me..

The number ranges for HU can be maintained in t code VKNP

Tcode for define HU number ranges:VNKP

assignment to that packing material type: Tcode:VHAR

Per your info,

in std, You cant maintain HU number ranges with respect to year.

Still if you want to maintain, You have to use Userexit for Number ranges.

Generally, all sales documents number ranges are not year specific . ONly FI documents are year specific.

Why you want to have Year specific number ranges for HU's? - It is nothing to do with Year.

Convince your client, This year dependant HU number ranges doesnt carry any value addition. Still client insists, only way to achieve this is "USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE"

so where i have to check this "USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE"

Use T. Code VNKP for maintaining no range for handling units.
