Dear Experts,
We want users to let create sales orders without WBS but when they do billing system should prompt them message/error to enter WBS. Currently, in our system user can even complete billing without any account assignment. This leads to some problems at month end.
Can you please advice how to make WBS mandatory at billing only.

Hi,
Activate Incompletion log in SD ,so while ur creating a Sales order for that document type,system will ask you to enter the WBS.In this way you need to enter wbs element and then you cant face any problem in month end while running Settlement.

for this you have nothing to do in PS
you will need to activate some exit in SD module that when billing is done then WBS assignment of the ales doc line item must be there else error

Hi,
either u can make 'wbs element' mandetory or optional in sales order.
But during only billing let others to reply.
but why dont u want it at the time of sales order, as u received an order, ur project has to be ready.
