E-Classic setup in SRM 5.0

Hi Experts,

I need to configure a Extended-Classic scenarion in SRM 5.0. Below are the activitis i have done so far.

Act.. Completed

1.RFC connection

2.Vendor/ master data replication

3.Define Backend System for Product Category :

Category ID :: Source Sys ::TargetSys

001::R/3:SRM

4.Define Objects in Backend System

But when i am creating the SC , the PO is generated. But I am not able to create the CNF in R/3.

Plz assist.

Hi

First of all please check whether the Extended Classic scenario is activated or not.

Follow the path and then check the activation status.

IMG--SRM -- cross application basic settings -- activate ECS

Did your SRM PO reach r/3? if it so you can do MIGO .

Are you geting any error while doing good reciept?

This PO is not found in R/3.

As you aware our EBP PO must reach r/3 too right.

check point

rz20 / application monitor /sm58 /sm12/ sm59 rfc connectivity .

check why the PO did not reach SAP .first find this issue and push PO to backend. later you can do confirmation

In RZ20 the below error is being displayed:

Local errors : "Comm.. error checking account assignmnt for PO 3000444 in system R/3".

And a small query, to do a CNF in backend, is it necessary that PO should be made of Backend PO?

In my case the PO is assigned to Local Purch. Org.

Yes SK. This PO must be in R/3 SAP .

check with basis team connectivity between srm and R/3 . Recommended dialog RFC destination

I did the SM59/ Connection test in both the system R/3/SRM .The result was success. IN my last qs i missed that, Is it necessary that PO should belog the Backedn Purchasing Org to get replicated in R/3.

ask your Basis to set up Dialog RFC destination for your backend. it double helps to read the account assignmnet with out any problem.

I don't think PO created by Local Purch org will be replicated to ECC, try creating a PO with backend PORG and check if it makes it to ECC, then try to receive it, please let me know.

Sorry! for delay in response guys.

I used backend Purchasing Group, but still the PO is not geting replicated to ECC. Plz let me know, if any steps i am missing.

Hi,

According to the error "Comm.. error checking account assignmnt for PO 3000444 in system R/3" first you have to check your account assignment categories in customizing for R/3 and SRM . May be you have a missing account assignment in R/3.
