Exporting PI components securely

Hi Experts,

I am exporting different components of ID, SLD & ESD (SAP PI 7.1) from one PI system & then importing these components to some other PI system. I can do this succesfully, but the thing is that, i dont want to show any component configuration in the system where the components are imported. For eg :- If i export Message Mapping from one PI system & then import this Message Mapping to second PI system , then in the second system i should not be able to view any of the Message Mapping.Please Help...

hi,

I don't think it's possible to do as you wish for

you can do it like this:

import to the new server

then create correct roles as per my blog:

/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/05/25/xi-how-to-add-authorizations-to-repository-objects

assign users to roles

and they cannot view it then
