Hi all,

I have maintained text using tcode : SO10 and in smartform, I use function "include text" by passing in the text id, object etc. There is only one problem that I face ..

in my text, I have written, "companies'asset ..."

however, in the output, the symbol ' turns into # ..

How should I solve it?

Thanks

Instead of copy paste goto SO10 >change > Insert > symbols.

Then choose the symbols hope this should work fine.

Hi,

One more trial is to copy the text and in change mode of SO10 , goto--> Change Editor from the menu and then paste the content in the script editor.

Check if it works fine or not.

Try giving the following detauils in SPAD->Output Devices->Create

Device Type ::: SAPWIN : Rel.4.x/SAPIpd 4.09+ ONLY!

Device Class::: Standard Printer

Hi,

The issue here is with the device type assigned to the printer.

In SPAD you can find the device type assigned.

Please make sure that the device type supports the special character.

Hi all,

I have tried the same output in other client, and it seems to work fine.

I guess it relates to the printer preview setting? What should I check after go to SPAD? And what should I update?

I cant ask the user to change ' to other symbol, it doesnt sound right.

Thanks

Hi:

in SO10, just do a change like companies`asset (just below of ~) instead of companies'asset

Thanks for reply.

There is nothing related to printing yet.

I have just tried to print on screen...

Do you still see the problem.

Go to SPAD and update the printer with local printer properties and try prinintng on the printer

Check if you get the same output on hard copy also???

For the Printpreview on screen also a printerdriver is used.

Maybe it is not such a bad idea to try this with another printer(driver)

"update with printer properties" - can you specify what are the fields to be updated?

If print on screen, normally we will use LP01.

Thanks

try with any other printer, like LOCL or LP01
