Erratic behavior from our SRM system

Hi Gurus,

We are facing some erratic behavior from our SRM system.

1. Sometimes when we publish the bid, the system generates a message that bid has been published but on checking in the link u201Cprocess bid invitationsu201D we are unable to locate the bid.

2. Similarly sometimes when we generate a PO through an accepted bid, system shows the message PO has been generated and also provides a PO number BUT this PO number is non-existent in the backend.

Did someone else also face similar problems, If Yes, then how was it rectified?

Note: We are using Classic Scenario with SRM Server 5.5

Hi,

I would suggest you to check the application monitor using the transaction RZ20. Sometimes if there is any backend application error , you can see the PO number but that might not have actually been transmitted to the backend. So if we can look at the application monitor and check the error details , we will then be able to analyze the error and also how to get a solution for that.

Did you make a note of the Bid Invitation and PO number so that you can search in the respective transaction (Process BID/Process PO) and search that object and check to make sure every thing is OK.

You can even go to BBP_PD for each object and search for all the POs BIDs created on that day to investigate, if there is any error in the creation of PO, it won't be available in ECC.

The PO is created w.r.to Bid..but did you check if it is transferred to Backend,or stuck in the middle..?

What status does it show..?
