How to assign an internal activity to a WBS element?

Hi,

actually in book "project management: SAP PS" SAP Press, it is written that - "In WBS scheduling, exactly those activities are scheduled that are assigned to these WBS elements. Therefore, you can schedule individual parts of a project without scheduling all activities of a network."

no here i don't understand that "without scheduling all activities of a network". does this mean that we can have a network spreaded over more than one wbs elements?

Yes.

Network has various activities.

These activities may be assigned to different WBS elements.

Thus one Network spread over various WBS elements.

In WBS scheduling start date is taken from WBS Basic dates for forward scheduling and end date in case of backward scheduling.
