Rename SAPSSO2 Cookie

We are in a situation where we need to differentiate between cookies for our systems. Our HR system use UID number and password and in our ERP system, we use username and password. When we use web gui links in the ERP system and the cookie hasn't been deleted from the HR system, it will block the ERP logon ticket.

We wanted to test what would happen if we issued a cookie with a different name in ERP than the one HR is using.

Any ideas on which is the best way to handle?

Hi

You have two problems here, first the username is included in the login ticket. Second as far as i know, there is no way to change the cookie's name.

It looks like you need to adapt the usernames, in my opinion this will be better for the users anyway.

One workaround i found was to set my browser to request the cookie with each http request, i tested this with firefox. But this may lead to problems with other applications.
