Hello SRM seniors,
We have implemented CCM 2.0 in our lanscape and now
exploring possibility of uploading material masters directly from R/3 to CCM catalogs.
Our R/3 is ver 4.7 only.
I am told the subject provision is only there with ECC 5.0 to CCM 2.0.
Before I put this constraint to my management , I want confirmation for this.
Please confirm.
If you are interested to see our detailed system status , I have pasted the same below:

Dinesh: I believe you have the right info (except I am not sure whether this function becomes available as of ECC 5.0 or ECC 6.0). R/3 4.7 does not have this.
The new transaction is called "Send Purchasing Data to Catalog" (transaction code MECCM). You can check the description here:

Hi Angie,
transaction MECCM in ECC6.0 allow you to extract Contracts or Purchase Info Records, create an XML file to CCM format, and send it to XI, that will upload it into CCM.
This transaction is available only in ECC 6.0, but it is a rather simple extraction transaction that usually don't suite to customer needs (each customer wants own extraction criteria and logic).
Customers did not wait for ECC6.0 to extract data from their R/3 to create catalog files.
So you can develop your own report to implement your extraction:
- extract data (materials, prices from contracts or PIR)
- with wanted search criteria
- with wanted data (corresponding to your catalog characteristics)
- with wanted output format (XLM, CSV...).
You can ask Pierre, he is now an expert in extracting data from R/3 to load catalogs...
