Level 02 Repair

Hi,

User is getting the error: "Partner xxxxxxxx not found with partner functiontype Goods Recipient" while doing confirmation for a EBP PO.

In PPOSA_BBP, the user in not consistent. It is giving the error message "User is defective. Level 02 repair needs to be done".

When I tired to do level 02 repair for the user through txn: BBP_CHECK_USERS I am getting an pop-up saying that User has open shoppring cart. I hope there should not be any open SCs or POs in confirmation screen for the user.

Questions:

1. Where can I find the open items? Is that shopping carts or POs created for the user? Or open items available in confimation screen?

2. Is it possible to trasnfer the open items to someone else as it may not be possible to close all the items.

3. After all the open items have been closed or trasnfered if I do the level 2 repair, will it delete all the existing shopping carts of the user as the business partner is getting re-generated.

Please advise.

I believe the good recipient (may be requestor of SC ) could have been deleted.

Q8. What happens if I delete the user who has created the shopping cart

A8. If the user is deleted, and the shoping cart exists in the application, then the shooping cart cannot be displayed. If you want to view/ process those shopping carts, then you have to create a dummy user and retrieve the document. In CRMD_PARTNER table, the old user GUID should be replaced with the new user GUID.

make ensure BP, Position , US existing for That user , some missing data for user.

As per SRM rule , we need to close all documents before you delete users. but good practice we follow is lock the user rather than delete.

which version are you working on?

We are in SRM 4.0.

User is not deleted. But some how inconsistencies has occured.

USer ID is there. If I do level 2 repair then it will regenerate the business partner.

In that case, will it delete all the shopping carts?

Please advise.

Hi Arun

CRMD_PARTNER in this table one GUID might have created for good recipient partner function. It would have been deleted . so check BP, position, US everything existed for that user in org structure.

you can see that GUID in BBP_PD for sc also.

SAP Note 785802 - PPOMA_BBP: 'Defective' users in EBP

In the EBP the problem occurs that users are inconsistent and have to be

repaired.

When you carry out the repair using Transaction USERS_GEN (Level 2), a

message is issued that user 1234567890 cannot be repaired because of open

shopping carts.

Cause and Prerequisites

The update of user data can be incorrect, if changes are made in the

assignment of the user to the organizational unit and/or position using

Transaction PPOMA_BBP. This error no longer occurs if Note 550055 has been

implemented.

Solution

Implement Note 550055 or the corresponding Support Package into your

system. If you want to continue to use old (inconsistent) users after the

implementation, contact SAP support or proceed as follows to implement the

repair:

You can correct the users yourself by deleting the assignments of the users

in Transaction PPOMA_BBP and then adding assignments of the users again.

For this purpose, position the cursor on the business partner of the user,

select the context menu with the right mouse button and select 'Delete ->

Assignment'. Memorize the business partner number and then assign the

business partner to the position again. To check your changes, start

Transaction USERS_GEN.

Thanks a lot.

Issue has been resolved by running the Level 02 repair through the report B_REPAIR_EBP_USER_2 as mentioned in the Note 419423 - Repairing incorrect EBP users.

While doing the level 2 repair by the txn: BBP_CHECK_USERS it gave the message open shopping cart exists. But in this report it didn't give that message.

Also shopping cart are not getting deleted as the BP remains the same.
