Adobe Interactive Forms outside standard process

The normal HR processes for Adobe Interactive Forms are that Employeesu2019, HR Administrator and Manager start the process by selecting an Employee then they select the Adobe Interactive Form.

Is it possible for a Manager to select the Adobe Interactive Form first without the Employee information, so for example they create a u2018New or Change to Positionu2019 by selecting Organisational Management data and create or change a new position.

Thanks

Yes. Very possible. And the documentation gives that very example. But to save you the time of reading (what's the fun in that?!?!), you can tell your process that it does not need a "start object" in the configuration from the Design Time workbench.

Per documentation....

"Indicates Whether Start Object Must Exist When Starting

If the indicator is set, the process can be started without specifying a start object.

If the indicator is not set, the process cannot be started until a start object has been specified.

Dependencies

The control of a start application with regard to a start object to be specified is realized using the process groups. Process groups can be defined for which a process start is performed without a start object. Only processes for which the indicator is set here accordingly are then displayed when the start application is executed. In the same way, in a start application for which a start object is obligatory, only those processes are displayed for which the indicator is not set here.

Example

Personnel Administration processes usually must be started by specifying a personnel number. However, hiring processes are started without a personnel number. The indicator must be set for the hiring processes." (copyright SAP)

Many thanks Chris.

I don't suppose you have a link to the documentation! I know asking too much know.

Thanks
