Change Sold-To party

Dear friends,

I know that changing Sold-To Party after a Sales Order/Contract is created is NOT possible in SAP. But are there any user exits that can be used for changing the sold-to party after the contract is created.

If the above is not possible, is it possible to run the standard SD reports on a partner (who would be the new sold-to party) instead of running it on the actual Sold-To Party.

Kindly confirm.

Thanking you,

With kindest regards,

Ramesh Padmanabhan

Hi Ramesh,

You can change the Sold-to Party in Contract or Sales Order, its SAP Standard. You dont need any Uxer Exit to do this. Goto Sales Overview screen, you can see the Sold-to Party field is open and editable. Change the Sold-To Party from here, if you see the same at header --> Partner Tab it is greyed out and not changable.

It does not matter, you change it from overview screen and you can see the changes are imposed at all levels.

But once you have created any delivery or Billing document, then you will not be able to change Sold-To Party. Hope this will resolve your problem, if u r still not able to do it then u can always contact me.

Thanks,

Abdul

Ramesh,

Yes we can change the Sold to party after creation but before that you should see that no subsequent documents are created for this order. In that case it is greyed out and you will not be allowed to change the sold to party.

In case you have changed the sold to party that you have created. The subsequent documents are created bearing the new sold to party then in the reports you will find new sold to party being reflected.

You can change the Sold To Party as long as there is no subsequent document to that sale order. But if you generate any subsequent document, then this field would become grey and you cannot change this.

thanks
