External HTTP connection

Hi Guru's,

I have definied an externa http connection in PI (SM59). This connections works ok but when I test it, I need to fill in my username and password which is already definied and correct. Can anybody tell me why I get this screen where I need to fill in my username and password?

Hi

You just have to check the username/password combination that u have given in the destination profile.

Can u check or perhaps even retype the username/pwd over there

try to use the PI Service username PIAPPLUSER & the corresponding password for this set by your basis guys.

Do you have an idea, why I get this logon screen, even if there is login informatio defined?

Hi,

Please note that if the logon screen is coming there is some problem with the authentication details you have mentioned.

Normally if the authentication details are right, it will automatically connect without giving the logon screen.

Test connection tab is just to ping the system and not actually connecting.

Do check your username and pwd provided in the authentication part.
