Posting date Vs Billing date

Dear all,

We have a scenario where Billing documents for the past periods to be posted into current period, but somehow we want to retain the original billing date.

E.G.

Billing document with a billing date of 01.01.09 when comes into the system needs to be posted today, in the current period but some where the billing date of 01.01.09 to be preserved.

Landscape

Billing documents are directly created by iDocs(WPUBON), as sales happen outside SAP. Once the document is processed, data is extracted into BW for reporting.

Please advise..

There is a billing date for invoice list VBRK-FKDAT_RL that you vould populate and use for reporting. You would have to modify IDOC mapping and reporting
