Hi,
Can anyone tell how to handle acknowledgment in FILE TO IDOC scenario. ( no BPM please )
Just tell me steps for this with any example but without using BPM.
Thanks in advance..

You have to keep in mind that the acknowledgement in this case would be sent in the form of ALEAUD from receiver SAP system to XI. It could not be directly sent to file system without BPM. You have option of sending this ALEAUD as separate message as seen in sxmb_moni or as part of the same message (where only the Ack status of message in moni is changed).

hi Prateek,

actuall it can be delivered to file system without a BPM
you just need to specify that aleaud from this sender are treated as XI request messages
unless I got your response wrong

Hi,
but why do you want to have ack in file to IDOC ?
just aleaud which will be catched by XI ?
or do you want to receive a file with acknowledgment that IDOC is inside R/3 ?
as these are two different situations:
1. in standard
2. you need to create a new flow in XI - ALEAUD(IDOC) - FILE
and specify that aleaud will be treated as XI request messages (only possible from Sp17 for XI)
