Hi All
We are facing problem with dispatcher ie we are able to start oracle listener properly and SAP service also is started successfully but GUI is not getting connected later we noticed that dispatcher is having problem and when we passed the command
"dpmon ef=startsap_DVEBMGS00.log" the error was as follows:
dpmon=>sapparam(1c):No Profile used.
dpmon=>sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profile nor in Commandline
DpMonInit failed - possibly no dispatcher running
DpMon: External/Internal dplib version: 109/229.
How should we go about for getting the dispatcher work.
Pls suggest the necessary action at the earliest
Thanks in Advance
Arun
Hi Guys
Thank you very much for your replies,Actually the problem was with shared memories in /etc/system profile which was not set properly earlier, now its properly set it according to standard SAP note and restarted the server. It started working .
Once again thanks for your replies.

Arun

Hi Arun,
Run the command telnet hostname 3200 from command prompt and see the output.
If its blank screen means your dispatcher is up and running else not running

Dear Arun,
you can not analyze a logfile with dpmon. dpmon is an equivalent to transaction SM50. It has to be called with the instance profile
dpmon pf=<Instance profile>
So if there is a problem with the dispatcher, this will manifest in dev_disp, the trace file of the dispatcher.

Tim

Hi Arun,
Please paste the start logs and dispatcher and w0 traces as mentioned by Juan Reyes.
This will help to analyze the issue.

Can you post the errors in dev_disp and dev_w0?
